[SINP Update] Update on Job Approval Letters (JAL) Ineligible Occupations

Today, we’d like to share news from the SK provincial government regarding an update to the Job Approval Letters (JAL) ineligible occupation categories under the Saskatchewan Immigrant Nominee Program (SINP).

Firstly, let’s discuss some of the prominently noticed and widely practiced occupation groups that are being excluded:

  1. Beauty-related occupations (Hairstylists and barbers (NOC 63210), Estheticians (NOC 63211))
  2. Religious-related occupations (Religious workers (NOC 42204), Religious leaders (NOC 41302))
  3. Chinese health-related occupations (Chinese health practitioners (NOC 32200))
  4. However, exceptions apply if the candidate currently holds a LMIA, CUAET-related Work Permit, or a PGWP –
  5. Massage-related occupations (Massage therapist (NOC 32201))
  6. Exceptions apply for RMT (Registered Massage Therapists) if the candidate currently holds a LMIA, CUAET-related Work Permit, or a PGWP –
  7. Accounting-related occupations (Accounting technicians and bookkeepers NOC 12200))
  8. Exceptions apply if the candidate currently holds a LMIA, CUAET-related Work Permit, or a PGWP –

These occupation groups are now classified as ineligible for JAL under the SINP process in Saskatchewan. If you reside in SK and belong to any of the mentioned occupation groups, we recommend exploring alternative immigration methods other than SINP.
