Hello. This is GS Consulting, your one & only consulting service.
Recently, the processing time from LMIA application to approval has been about 4 months, and the time it takes to get a work permit approved is also quite long. So, both we and our clients have been feeling frustrated. ๐ค
Today, we have some exciting news to share! ๐
โ Application Date: February 27, 2024
โ Approval Date: April 3, 2024 (5 weeks after application)
โ Position: Cabinetmaker (NOC 72311)
โ Location: Richmond, British Columbia
While processing the LMIA, we applied for the Recognized Employer Pilot Program (REP) simultaneously. To our delight, both REP and LMIA were approved in just five weeks. ๐๐
A brief explanation of REP: REP is a three-year pilot program to ease some of the administrative burden for Canadian companies looking to hire foreign workers for specific roles. Recognized employers can access a simplified LMIA application when hiring additional workers.
The first phase began accepting applications for agricultural occupations from September 12th, and the second phase, starting from January 2024, allows submissions for various occupations, including healthcare, technical professions, and the food service industry.
For those curious about LMIA processing through REP, feel free to contact GS for more information. โ๏ธ
At GS Consulting, we provide our clients with an overwhelmingly superior and comprehensive solution that is systematic and professional.
