Hello. This is GS Consulting. The new stream of the Alberta Advantage Immigration Program (AAIP), the Tourism Immigration Stream, was launched on March 1st. However, applications closed within 2-3 hours of opening, and currently, it is not possible to submit applications. We recommend preparing in advance and responding quickly as we are unsure when applications will reopen.
The three most important conditions for this stream are as follows:
Firstly, immigration applications must be based on a work permit supported by an LMIA. Secondly, there must be a minimum of 6 consecutive months of full-time work from the employer who provided the Job Offer (which is apparently an LMIA). Thirdly, you must possess a work permit through an LMIA at the time of immigration application. Maintained Status does not qualify.
