The year 2024 has arrived! When making plans for the new year, it’s essential to consider a public holiday. 
Since Canada is a federal country consisting of 10 provinces and 3 territories, the statutory holidays vary by province! The days that apply nationwide are called National Holidays, while the holidays that vary by province are called Statutory Holidays.
What’s interesting here is that, unlike in Korea where holidays are fixed by date, in Canada, provincial holidays are often designated in a format such as <the first Monday in Aug>, resulting in the date of holidays changing every year.
The National Holidays applicable to all provinces are as follows:
January 1st: New Year’s Day
July 1st: Canada Day (National Day)
September 2nd: Labour Day
December 25th: Christmas Day
