We would like to introduce an immigration program that may not have caught your attention before. It’s the International Post-Graduate Stream.
โ Eligibility: a master’s or doctoral degree or a PhD candidate at a public BC post-secondary institution in British Columbia.
๐ค Master’s Level Programs: Completed a masterโs degree at a BC post-secondary institution (mostly public institutions and some private ones) in one of the programs of study in the natural, applied or health sciences.
๐ค Doctoral Program: Open to all fields (excluding Juris Doctor (J.D) and Doctor of Medicine (M.D)).
Online courses are not eligible; more than 50% of the program must be completed in Canada for distance education.
โ Applicant Qualifications: Within 3 years of graduation.
Simply graduating makes you eligible for the BC PNP application. (It’s not a point-based stream. Employment in Canada is not required.)
For the master’s program, it must be in a designated school and department.
As you may know, admission requirements are quite strict, especially in public schools. According to our assessment, the following schools and programs can be targeted which are easier to enter than public ones.
๐ซ Fairleigh Dickinson University (Vancouver) – Master of Science in Applied Computer Science
๐ซ New York Institute of Technology (Vancouver) – Master of Science in Cybersecurity, Master of Energy Management F
or these two schools, meeting the admission requirements would be having graduated from a post-secondary school and an overall IELTS academic score of 6.5 or higher.
๐ซ Trinity Western University (Langley) – Master of Science in Nursing
The requirements for this school are not easy comparing with previous ones.
A Bachelor of Nursing (or equivalent with a BC RN or RPN qualification), with an overall IELTS Academic score of 7.5 or higher.
However, we have received many inquiries recently from nurses (especially those who graduated from nursing schools in Korea).
